With its 8th successive lead in the Premier Soccer League, claiming its 15th title in overall history on 17 May 2025. Such times are telling what might become of South African football.

After the club's crowning, the next matches are continental and international. It is the only team that has managed to reach this level of success in the country. Even international media has started to cover the teams amazing success.

The tone of success and gap between points in the league table suggest that Mamelodi Sundowns is modeling the route to success. The goal is seems like it says, "go big or go home."

They are breaking records in the league with highest points, most won league trophies, the only team that won the DSTV trophy until it left and was replaced by Betway which Sundowns is the first to lift that trophy as well.

The team is a poses a threat to local clubs, because it is a matter of who can take this giant down when it comes to big tournaments in the country. It is a question whether the Betway trophy will also go to Sundowns only or will an equally strong opponent emerge.

It is a beacon of hope for young children. It is not a matter of the strong fanbase presence and celebration of Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates and historic achievements, it is about what is happening in the recent years and to-date.

So far without favorites, the numbers are speaking for themselves and the future seems to be shaping Mamelodi Sundowns football style. Hardwork, talent, management, solid budget and other important factors are seemingly paying off by the look of things.
