Experience both urban and rural exposure
Story by Anele Zikali
Do we ever deprive ourselves of feeding one side of our lives and forget about the other aspects?
To get your body, mind and soul connected and have balanced energy, a half-urban and rural area does the trick. Taking the mind off the hectic life whilst bringing an opportunity to reconnect and to find ourselves before we are lost in translation of this ever-changing world.
A fair balance in lifestyle may lead to a much more effective outcome, especially in these unexpected and unsettling things in the global market, family dramas, hectic work schedules, monotonous daily routines and crime in neighborhoods.
A suitable location to bring such pleasure is Nyosi Wildlife Reserve in Gqeberha/ Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape in South Africa. For instance, a warm bath whilst outdoors gazing at the natural vegetation, clouds and the atmosphere by far exceeds normal bathing in a tub, this seems therapeutic and breathtaking. For cool water lovers, a swimming pool is also available.
Then there is an opportunity to have meals choosing between steamed foods to steak and stew aroma was inviting, and a hearty meal was ideal for children's outings, family or friends.
To take the rural setting back to its urban sense, there are options to taste wine something city people love to experience.
Then back to that rural feel, a picnic gives eyes the luxury to be at the view of natural water sights, hills and valleys in a calm environment with the scent of fynbos in the air. Even gazing upon nature and the night looks quiet, and warm is enjoyable in that kind of area.
Any wildlife is not wild enough without a game drive ride. Seeing giraffes, buffalos, a fenced area for the cheetah and its cubs as well as gemsboks and zebras is what makes Nyosi fit into the wildlife category. After a 2-hour ride, there are options to choose lunch and dessert.
The venue on its own is usually used for events like weddings and conferences. The beautiful thing about this flexible place is that it is good for day activity, weekends even prolonged days. More information is available on their website.
